Overview

A short yet soulful journey from Haridwar into the heart of the Garhwal Himalayas. Travel to Sitapur with a stop at the breathtaking Rudraprayag Sangam, where Alaknanda meets Mandakini. Stay at Shivalik Valley Resort, enjoying Garhwali folk dance, music, and a bonfire. Day two takes you to Ukhimath – the winter home of Kedarnath – then trek to Chopta, the “Mini Switzerland of India.”
From Chopta, trek further to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, and extend to Chandrashila Peak at over 13,000 feet. On the final day, visit Triyuginarayan Temple, where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were married. Witness the eternally burning holy fire (Akhand Dhuni) and bathe in the sacred kunds. Return to Haridwar with divine blessings and unforgettable mountain memories.

Tour Highlights

Chopta – Mini Switzerland of India – An untouched meadow surrounded by dense deodar and rhododendron forests, offering panoramic Himalayan views far from city chaos.

Tungnath Temple – The world’s highest Shiva temple (3,680 m / 12,073 ft), part of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage, reached via a scenic 3.5 km trek from Chopta.

Chandrashila Peak – A further 1.5 km trek from Tungnath rising above 13,000 ft, rewarding you with spectacular sunrise views over snow-capped peaks like Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba.

Triyuginarayan Temple – The legendary marriage site of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, where an eternal flame (Akhand Dhuni) has been burning for ages. Sacred kunds (Rudra, Vishnu, Brahma) lie in front.

Shivalik Valley Resort Experience – Immerse in Garhwali culture with folk dance, folk music, authentic local cuisine, and a cozy bonfire in the serene Sitapur valley.

Day-wise Itinerary

Haridwar – Sitapur (238

km / 8-9 hrs) Morning meet & greet at Haridwar. Drive to Sitapur, enroute visit Rudraprayag Sangam (Alaknanda + Mandakini). Evening arrival at Shivalik Valley Resort. Enjoy Garhwali folk dance, music, bonfire & authentic cuisine. Overnight at resort.

Sitapur – Ukhimath –

Chopta – Tungnath – Sitapur (75 km / 3-4 hrs drive + trek) After breakfast, drive to Ukhimath (winter abode of Kedarnath). Trek from Ukhimath to Chopta (“Mini Switzerland”), then further to Tungnath (3.5 km, highest Shiva temple). Extend to Chandrashila Peak (1.5 km, 13,000+ ft) if time permits. Return trek to Ukhimath, drive back to Sitapur. Overnight at resort.

Sitapur – Triyuginarayan Temple

– Haridwar (238 km / 8-9 hrs) After breakfast, drive 30 mins to Triyuginarayan Temple – marriage site of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati. See the eternally burning Akhand Dhuni (holy fire) and three sacred kunds (Rudra, Vishnu, Brahma). Donate wood to the eternal flame. Return drive to Haridwar. Drop-off at railway station/bus stand. Tour ends.

Terms & Conditions

Check in & Check out time will be according to Hotel Policy. Also, early check in and late check-out scenarios will be subject to availability.
Cancellation: Cancellations need to be done at least 30 days in advance for tour FITs and 45 days in advance for groups.
Any cancellation after the mentioned time frame will attract retention.
Children between 6- 12 Years &Adults (Above 12 yrs.) would Cost extra according to the Company’s Policies
Package can be customized as per the customer’s Requirement based on the availabilities of hotel, transport and whether condition etc.
For No Shows or any un-availed service, Shivalik Holidays Trip shall not be responsible. This includes missed flights, meals, transfer or any other booked services. For alternative arrangements extra cost will be levied.
Meal timings must be followed as per instructed time by the hoteliers. Packages booked with meal plans will have Fixed Menu (Buffet or Room Service).
50 % of the total package is mandatory in order to confirm the booking.
Remaining 50 % of the package cost will be collected on 15 days before arrive
