Day 1: Kickstarting the journey from Haridwar
The starting point of the journey will be Haridwar. After your arrival at Haridwar, you will be provided with pre-booked comfortable accommodation. You cannot leave Haridwar without witnessing the culturally rich and beautifully executed aarti at Har-Ki-Pauri which is believed to be the place where the elixir of immortality Nector (Amrit) fell during Samundra Manthan. After the aarti, you can return to the hotel and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay and get ready and pumped up for the journey ahead.
Day 2: Haridwar + Rajaji National Park S/S – Lansdowne (110 Kms/2-3 Hrs)
After a fresh and energizing breakfast, you will head to the famous Rajaji National Part. Rajaji national park is largely known for its rich biodiversity, breath-taking wildlife, scenic beauty and of course the famous wildlife safaris. It’s a treat for all nature lovers as well as wildlife enthusiasts out there. It shelters about 315 types of bird species 23 types of species of mammals and about 23 types of species of mammals.
The jungle safari at Rajaji National park is the main tourist attraction serving some spectacular natural views and takes up close to the wildlife also. One can be able to spot so many different species of animals like Asian Elephants, Python, Wild Cats and many more beautiful creatures which definitely are a treat to the eyes and a sight to behold. It takes you a step closer to nature and its unbelievably unique and beautiful creatures.
After this adventurous stint, you will head to the serene and quiet Lansdowne Hill Station.
Day 3: Lansdowne Sightseeing (220Km/7-8 Hrs)
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will dive into exploring this beautiful town that Lansdowne is. It is known as the quietest hill station of India situated at 1,700 mts above the sea level, heavily enclosed with beautiful oak forests. It is still a comparatively less spoiled or commercialized hill station to explore and is also a little less crowded. Lansdowne is a perfect travel destination for a relaxing and laid back holiday. It gives you that calming and cooling off the vibe, so as you feel just at home, easy and comfortable.
The famous tourist spots that you can visit our Kaleshwar temple which also the oldest structure in Lansdowne. Then there is St. Mary Church which is the only church for worship in Lansdowne. You can also visit the famous Bhulla Tal which is dedicated to the members of Garhwal Rifles who dedicated their time and undivided devotion for its construction without any Government funding. You can also enjoy a little trek to Tip-In-Top and take delight in watching the glorious and breathtakingly beautiful views of the Himalayan Range.
After this eventful day, you will head back to the hotel for some rest and sound sleep to prep up for the day ahead. (Dinner is included)
Day 4: Lansdowne-Sitapur (Shivalik Valley Resort)
Day 4 will start with an early morning breakfast. You will be checked out from the hotel and your departure to Sitapur will commence. On the way, You will also witness the exquisite and unbelievable Ruderpriyag Sangam of Alaknanda River and Mandakini River which is a sight to behold. After reaching Sitapur, your overnight stay will be organized at the most recommended and best hotel in Sitapur – Shivalik Valley Resort. Evening at Shivalik Valley resort will include our cultural touch i.e, Folk Dance of Gadhwal followed by authentic dishes, music and bonfire to make the ambience more enriching. We will make our maximum efforts make your stay as comfortable as possible with a pinch of cultural and authentic elements.
Day 5:Day Excursion to Chopta (75km/3-4hrs)
Day 5 will start with breakfast to pump up and get energized for the adventurous trek. You will then proceed towards Ukhimath, which is the winter adobe of Kedarnath. This small town can be used as the centre destination point to visit several other places which are located nearby. Ukhimath is a religiously rich town and is also the origin of several mythological stories.
After reaching Ukhimath, you will then start off your trek to Chopta, also famously known as the Mini Switzerland of India.
Chopta is located at an altitude of 2680 mts, (8,790 ft) above sea level. It is a part of the Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary located in Uttarakhand state. It is also the starting base point for trekking to Tungnath, which is the third temple of Panch Kedar. Tungnath has situated 3.5 km from Chopta. Furthermore, the trek extends till Chandrashila which is 1.5 km from Tungnath, rising to over 13000 ft.
Chopta is an untouched, picturesque, natural gem of Uttarakhand which is yet unexplored by many travelers making it a unique and fresh travel destination. Far away from the hustle of city life, Chopta takes you on a beautiful, refreshing stroll around the snow-laden mountains. The resplendent beauty of Chopta is enclosed by lush greenery, pines, deodars, rhododendrons which makes Chopta rich in Flora and Fauna.
After trekking back to the base Ukhimath, you will head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Day Excursion to Deoria Tal hike(58km/2-3hrs)
Day 6 will start with breakfast at the hotel which will be followed by a picturesque drive to the Sari village. It will be the starting base point for the Deoria Tal Hike. It is situated about 3 km from Sari village at an altitude of 2,438 mts. Deoria Tal is untouched by commercialization and traffic hiccups. This gorgeous translucent lake offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Cahukhamba, Neelkanth, Banderpunch, Kedar range, and the Kalanag peaks.
The lake is situated amidst lush greenery and dense trees, providing the visitors a soothing scenic sight to behold. According to Hindu mythology, the “Devas” used this beautiful lake for bathing. It is the same place where Yaksha asked some questions from the Pandavas before letting them consume the water of this lake.
This becomes a must-visit spot because of the easy accessibility and the scenic view it offers. It’s a perfect start for beginner trekkers. Deoria Tal is a habitat of various species of birds and animals. It will be a treat for the bird watchers also.
Coming back to Sari village, you can also walk through the daily chores of the villagers and learn about their culture and customs and also indulge in some lip-smacking authentic lunch.
After this enriching experience, you will head back to the hotel for some rest and sound sleep.
Day 7: Sitapur-Rishikesh S/S -Haridwar (240kms/8-9hr)
After having breakfast, you will now be heading to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh is a lively city that is also known as one of the holiest destinations in India. People visit Rishikesh in the search for peace and it’s enriching spirituality. The divine and surreal energy of Rishikesh is the major tourist attraction also, even for the locals, this place is just magic. It is famous for both Yoga and Adventure sports such as bungee jumping, river rafting, trekking, etc.
It also has a special destination for the Beatle fans, yes, you heard that right, Beatles Ashram is one such place that is entirely dedicated to The Beatles as they had attended a meditation session at this place.
One can not and should not leave Rishikesh without witnessing the spectacular and serene sight of the Ganga Arti performed at Triveni Ghat, it is a treat to the eyes and a beautiful, unforgettable sight to behold. That divine feeling you get while watching it cannot be put into words, it is nothing short of pure bliss.
You will then have an overnight stay at a pre-booked hotel.
Day 8 : Departure
Last day will get started with some fresh breakfast. You will be checked out from the hotel and dropped at the Airport/Railway Station for your onwards journey, back to home.
This trip will definitely be a trip to remember with everlasting memories. This trip will be a mix of history, wildlife, adventure sports, religiously enriching experience.
